THEME: Environment Advocacy, Climate Change, Agriculture, and Allied Sectors. 

Background

The Northeast Conclave on Sustainability & Scalability is a platform that envisions taking this idea forward by encapsulating insights and critical reflections on contemporary, relevant developmental initiatives in rural areas. Accordingly, Northeast Conclave on Sustainability & Scalability aims to bring actors of the development ecosystem from India with a special emphasis of Northeast and Eastern India together to discuss their transactions to meet the sustainability objective of their scale up developmental initiatives.
As part of the conclave, SDS invites students to participate in Poster Participation to raise awareness around pressing issues in the domains of environment advocacy, climate change, agriculture, and allied sectors.

Why Participate?

This is an opportunity for students to

  • Advocate for pressing issues such as conservation of Digholipukhuri’s heritage, Deepor Beel, climate change, and nature preservation in Northeast India.
  • Receive a certificate of participation from SDS, a leading organization in the development sector in NER
  • Network with experts and practitioners in development sector
  • Stand a chance to win award for the best poster, along with special recognition in SDS’s social media.
Participation Details
  • Eligibility: Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline.

  • Group Size: Students are welcome to participate in the Poster Making Competition either individually or in groups (up to 4 students per group). Initial selection will be based on a 100-word concept note, which is due  on November 20, 2024. After review, selected posters will be presented directly on November 25 at the event.

  • Poster Requirements: Posters can be created manually and must effectively communicate the chosen topic within the theme.

Guidelines for Participation:
  • Concept: Posters should be informative, research-based, and visually engaging. Creativity, clarity, and relevance to the theme will be the key evaluation criteria.
  • Presentation: Each participant or group will have 5 minutes to present their poster to a panel.
  • Submission: Preliminary submissions should be shared digitally with SDS by 15/11/24 for initial review.
Awards and Recognition
  • Winning Prizes: Best poster will receive a cash prize of ₹10000, certificate, and an opportunity to feature in SDS’s social media.
  • Certificate of Participation: All participating students will receive certificates from SDS.
